When investigating strange regional fare I came across a food poll at the Travel Channel’s Bizarre Food site.
“You’re in Bolivia. Which bizarre food would you be willing to taste?” Okay, take a deep breath and exhale as you read these. “Bull penis soup, Llama brains, Fried tripe or Cow parts soup?”
Maybe I could convince myself that the Llama brains on the menu are really Lima beans, but I’m not certain that technique would work. I’ve always been repulsed by the thought of tripe but when it is included in a line-up of other Bolivian favorites I’m thinking Fried tripe is sounding quite delicious now.
What parts of the cow exactly are in Cow parts soup? Wait, I don’t want to know, maybe I’ll have that instead.
